Description

Anastrozole is an anti estrogenic drug that is mostly being developed for the treatment of advanced breast cancer in women and is most commonly sold under trade name – Arimidex. Specifically, this agent is the first in a newer class of third generation selective oral aromatase inhibitors. Anastrozole is acting by blocking the enzyme aromatase, is subsequently blocking the production of the estrogen in the body.
